Fireworks Spectacular Also on Card

(Slinger, WI) Race fans will get a jumpstart to the July 4th weekend at the Slinger Super Speedway, this Sunday night, June 29th. The Keith’s Marina Firecracker 75 presented by Interstate Sawing will highlight the Independence Day celebration. The Sunday night program features a 75-lap main event for the super late models, in what is always one of the bigger races of the season.


$9,999 To Win - $999 to Start

(Slinger, WI) June 24, 2014 – The Slinger Super Speedway’s 35th Annual SUPERSEAL Slinger Nationals presented by Miller Lite, on July 15, is set to pay $9999 to win and $999 to start in a tribute to the late Dick Trickle who carried the familiar number 99 on his race cars. Dick Trickle became a short-track legend, and was regarded as “America’s Winningest Racer”, with an estimated 1200 wins in his illustrious career. Trickle, who passed on in 2013, was a 4-time champion of the Slinger Nationals, an event that he suggested to then-promoter Wayne Erickson in 1980.

Slinger, Wis., June 22— For the second consecutive week Steve Apel held off Dennis Prunty to win the super late model feature, only this time he had to survive a green-white-checkered finish in the YP.Com 60 Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway.


(Slinger, WI) With school out for the summer, kids take center stage for the second week in a row at Slinger Speedway. Sunday night, June 22, is YP.com night and 50,000 pennies for kids age 11 and under. The penny's will be spread out on the front stretch of the race track for the kids to scoop up. The penny drop is before racing at 6:10 pm.

Slinger, Wis., June 15—Defending track champion Steve Apel netted his second feature victory of the season in the PMF Landscape Supply 60 Sunday night at the Slinger Super Speedway.

Slinger, Wis., June 8—Using the outside groove, Lowell Bennett took the lead late in the 60-lap super late model main event Sunday on Reunion Night at the Slinger Super Speedway and held off defending track champion for his second feature victory of the season.

“I tell you what, that guy (Apel) is an awesome race car driver and that is so much fun,” an excited Bennett stated from victory lane after outdueling Apel over the final ten laps, “When we were waiting for that cone to come out (on the final restart), I thought, ‘C’mon take the bottom’ because I knew I could run him on the top.”


Destruction Event Slated for August 16th

(Slinger, WI)—The 6th annual Slinger Super Speedway SlamFest is slated for August 16th and for the first time, speedway officials recently announced that, reserved seating would be available. The reserved grandstand sections are B; C; D; E and F, or the sections that run along the track’s front stretch, from the start/finish line to the entrance of turn one.

Slinger, Wis., June 1—Sudden rain showers brought an early and abrupt end to Round One of the Pepsi Challenge at the Slinger Super Speedway Sunday night just after a majority of the heat races were completed. Not enough of the event was complete so all competitors will be awarded 25 show up points. Rides for kids in race cars will be rescheduled.

(Slinger, WI) A championship race within a championship is up this Sunday night, June 1, at the Slinger Super Speedway as the track hosts round one of the Pepsi Challenge Series for the super late models. In addition to season-long championship points, drivers will be competing for the overall crown of the three-race Pepsi Challenge Series.
