World Record Qualifying at 5 pm – August 21

(Slinger, WI) Slinger Speedway will host asphalt Winged Sprint Cars for the first time in the history of the speedway this Saturday Night August 21. The Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Car Series will invade the high banks of Slinger Speedway bringing a caravan of teams billed as The World’s Fastest Short Track Cars! The methanol burning, 410 winged sprint cars weigh in at 1600 pounds. Combining light weight and tons of horsepower and you get the World’s Fastest Short Track Cars, add in the World’s Fastest ¼ Mile Asphalt Oval and a New World Record is sure to be broken. The Winged Sprint Cars have already been testing under the current World record of 10.28 seconds.

Activities will get started with practice at 3:00, World Record Qualifying at 5 pm, Front Stretch Autograph Session at 6 pm, Opening Ceremonies at 6:30 with races to follow. Heat races, Dashes, B mains and a 60 lap Sprint Car Feature will highlight the evening’s races. Joining the Winged Sprint Cars will be American Super Cup Cars, and Slinger Bee’s.
